I was running my own business for less than 1 year and decided I wanted to get on the property ladder. Being a first time buyer I knew it would be a little a tricky to get a mortgage. However, I also had to self certify my income and because my business was less than a year old and I had no end of year accounts and I had no way of proving that I was running a successful business. This evidently made my case a hard one.
